Football - Ghana recalls Paintsil, Addy, Mensah for qualifier against Malawi Flames


Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah recalled defenders John Paintsil, Jonathan Mensah and David Addy on Tuesday as the Black Stars look to qualify for next year's African Cup of Nations in South Africa.

Appiah also included Espanyol midfielder Wakaso Mubarak and local player Daniel Nii Adjei in the national squad for the first time ahead of the decisive final round of qualifying games in less than two weeks.

Ghana leads Malawi 2-0 ahead of the second leg in Malawi and aims to avoid the struggles of other major African nations.
