Mauritius - Mauritius:The depiction of women in the media has been defined as a key area of deliberation

The Ministry of Gender Equality, Child Development and Family Welfare in cooperation with the National Women’s Council, a parasatal body of the Mauritian government, voice it is adamant on sensitising Mauritians on the representation and portrayal of women in the media speaking at a press meet in the town of Ebene.
